Okay, this is SO not fun! I'm having major problems with my left shoulder. HOW do you decorate/craft/FUNCTION when you can't move an arm??? Well, I'm here to tell you you DON'T function well. AND,,, you don't get much done!
Swell, less than two weeks to the Parlour Tour and I am seriously dysfunctional. Couldn't find a new massage therapist that would take me today and my previous "miracle worker" left her profession to have and raise and infant (the NERVE!)
So, here I sit and can't even type without pain....Ack! Okay, tomorrow is a new day. . .

I don't know where the pain is exactly in your shoulder but a couple of years ago I pulled a tendon in my shoulder socket. (I was doing some weird stretching exercise). Let me tell you that shoulder became excruciatingly painful and totally useless for several days. It was so bad that I could not even lay down to sleep in bed. Just the weight of my body made it hurt. I had to sleep in my husbands recliner with my arm resting on a pillow. After several days of Aleve and hot and cold packs it got better. What really sped up the healing is when I put the ice pack under my arm pit. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteShell I hope you start feeling better soon. I know how painful and frustrating this is.

Shell, Do you want to drive into Arlington? I am a Massage therapist, and I work in my fathers' Chiropractic office in Arlington, 360)435-3052 or 425) 876-4075, I have times available all week. Karyn Rosebrook-Morris
ReplyDeleteI guess I should tell you our office hours, Mon, Wed, Fri 10 A.M. to 6 p.m and Tues 1 P.M. to 6 P.m. The 360 number is our office, and the 425 number is my cell, which I use for business. For tonight, Ice is your best friend, heat brings inflammation. If you have Castor oil, rub it into the shoulder several times tonight, then cover it with saran wrap. Weird, I know, but it works in the lymphatic system to remove inflammation. Best of luck, Karyn
ReplyDeleteOh no!! I thought the cut on the top of my thumb was slowing me down.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon.
This sure is the worst time of year to not be able to function.
Take care of your self.
Try and have a wonderful week anyway.

I am so sorry to hear about your shoulder. I can totally sympathize. I have a bad shoulder too - tweeked it last spring while carrying around the 5 gallon sprayer on my back. By the way, don't try an swing that think off you back while it's still half full. I have had issues ever since. Surgery may be the only option but I am putting it off as long as I can. Hope you get some relief soon dear. This is a terrible time for a flare up.
